Tailgate Series: Feta Beer Cheese Sausage Sandwich

Did someone say delicious?! On this week’s tailgate series, we’re switching up the traditional sausage and peppers sandwich for Feta Beer Cheese Sausage Sandwiches. These can be served on hoagie buns, the bread of your choice or even by itself!

Feta Beer Cheese Sausage Sandwich

(Serves 5)


  • 5 Sweet Italian Sausages
  • 1½ cup Romano cheese/li>
  • 1½ cup Feta cheese/li>
  • 5 buns sliced
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon garlic salt
  • 6 oz. beer of your choice
  • 3 tablespoons hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 diced onion
  • 2 green bell peppers
  • 1 yellow pepper


  1. First split sausage lengthwise and grill 3 minutes on each side until fully cooked
  2. Next, add butter to sauté pan and toast with Italian seasoning and black pepper. While the butter heats up, dice peppers and onions and grill with sausage
  3. Add beer and mustard reduce 4 minutes
  4. Add hot sauce, garlic salt, and cheese to sausage. Heat on low to melt the cheese
  5. To serve, place buns on tray, add sausage and top with peppers, onions and beer cheese
  6. Enjoy
