Football Season is finally here, and we want to make sure you’re covered when it’s time to cook for your family and friends. Spice up your gameday tailgates this season, making them come back for more!
Chef Anthony Marino shares one of his favorite gameday tailgate recipes: Smoked Chicken Wings with Blue Cheese on the Weber Grill.
Smoked Chicken Wings with Blue Cheese Sauce
Ingredients: Serves 4
- 8 full wings
- 2 tablespoons BBQ spice rub
- 2 tablespoons honey garlic rub
- 1 tablespoon sour cream
- 1 teaspoon BBQ rub (for sauce)
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ¾ cup smoked cheddar cheese
- 6 oz. crumbled blue cheese
- 2 tablespoons ranch dressing
- 2 chives diced
- 1 teaspoon garlic rub (for sauce)
- ¼ teaspoon mustard
- 4 lumps apple wood chunks
- 2 sheets aluminum foil
Directions:
- Pat wings dry in large bowl, add in both spices and coat evenly
- Wrap the wood chunks in foil and vent.
- Heat the grill to 350 degrees
- Place aluminum foil wood chunks on hot part of grill to create smoke
- Grill at 350 degrees for 20 minutes
- For the sauce, place diced chives and crumbled blue cheese in bowl, fold in ranch dressing, mustard, and rubs
- Finally add in pepper and chill dip
- To serve, place wings on serving platter and serve dip alongside
- Enjoy!
