Going outdoors this Summer? Yeti is MADE for the Wild

by Ashley Stout

In 2006, Yeti coolers were founded by Roy and Ryan Seiders in their father's garage, with a simple mission in mind – to build a cooler which could be used every day, if it existed. A cooler built for the serious outdoor enthusiast that wouldn’t break, wear or tear. YETI is an Austin, Texas-based manufacturer, specializing in outdoor lifestyle products such as ice chests, vacuum-insulated stainless-steel drinkware, soft coolers, and related accessories.

Whether you’re headed out on an excursion into the remote Alaskan wilderness, deep-sea fishing, or just getting together with friends in the backyard, Yeti was made with you in mind. Personally, my favorite is riding through the woods with my Fiancé on our quad.

Yeti is the Range Rover of cold. Its overbuilt Sherpa Coolers hit the market in 2006 priced between $250 and $300 a pop. Yetis now go for up to $1,300 for the 85-gallon Tundra 350. The cooler, when locked, is so strong that it's beyond the ability of a hungry grizzly to crack it. (It was tested on one and approved by the Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee.)

When can you find your Yeti working at it's best? Yeti keeps your hots hot, and your colds cold. Do yourself a favor, and make sure you have your Yeti ready for any occasion. After all, nothing is more frustrating than reaching for coffee that should be hot and taking a cold swig of java or wanting that “ice cold” beverage on a hot day, but it’s just floating in warm water. How about trying to drag a broken cooler through the woods to your campsite? Yeti will never let you down.

Yeti is expensive. Is it worth the investment? It is indisputable that with the purchase of any Yeti product, you are guaranteed a near-indestructible item that will continuously keep your colds cold, and your hots, hot. At what point does it start "paying you back?" Every time the food you packed for the weekend doesn't go bad, every time your beer doesn't get skunky, your ice doesn't melt, and talk about longevity….. How about buying a cooler once every 20 years, rather than once every couple? YETI is the product you need for your next party, outdoor cookout or ride in the wilderness. You won’t be disappointed.
