Does anyone need to be home to accept a delivery? Can I use my existing dryer vent or do I need to buy a new one? These are a few of the questions answered in this week's episode of Truck Talk. Even though Mitchell’s only been with us for a couple of months... with our excellent training program, we are going to put his knowledge to the test! Here's a breakdown of this week's Truck Talk Q&A:
What is your favorite appliance to install?
While each Delivery and Installation techs answer is probably different, Mitchell’s favorite appliance to install is a washer or dryer. Depending on where the washer and dryers are located, usually, they are pretty easy to both install and remove from the home.
Would you rather do a delivery in the middle of summer when it’s blazing hot or in the middle of winter when there's ice and it’s freezing cold?
Summer’s in Pittsburgh are very hot while our winters are very cold! Mitchell would rather deal with the heat and sweating instead of slipping on ice while wearing 4 layers of clothing while installing your appliances.
Does anyone need to be home to accept a delivery?
For safety and liability purposes, someone over the age of 18 must be home in order for us to come into your home and install your appliances. If you need any accommodations such as calling before we come out to your home, let us know prior and we would be more than happy to do so!
Can I use my existing dryer vent or do I need to buy a new one?
Depending on the quality your current dryer vent will determine whether or not we can reuse it. If you know prior to us coming out to your home that you are going to need a new one please let us know! We always bring extra vents but letting us know before is always the best option!
My washer is being delivered on Friday and I want to give my old one to my mother down the street. Can you take it there?
YES! Before our Delivery and Installation technicians come out to your home to deliver your new washer, let either your salesperson or our delivery team know to ensure that we allow time in the schedule. We also will need the street address of where you would like the old washer to go. Although some people may say down the street, depending on how far we have to take it will determine whether or not there is an additional cost. A Don’s team member will let you know of the costs before we come out to your home so that you aren’t blindsided the day of.
