In this week's episode of Truck Talk, Eric answers questions that we commonly get asked about Delivery and Installation like, "Will I have a chance to clean behind my old refrigerator? Do you install Kegerators? And, will the techs do a walk through prior to bringing everything inside?" Since we're not limited to only a minute of blog writing (unlike the video Q&A). What is your least favorite appliance to install?
Most of our Delivery & Install Techs would agree, a Sub-Zero refrigerator weighing as much as 630 lbs is no quick or easy installation. The bonus is that they are one of the longest-lasting refrigeration brands on the market because of their dual compressor system, so they won’t need replaced anytime soon!
Can they also install my door bell while they are here?
Eric was right. Our Delivery & Installation Techs, in order to fit all allotted appointments into the day, will only deliver and install what was purchased from Don’s Appliances during your appointment.
How often do you think you exceed customer expectations?
We try hard to exceed customer expectations all day every day and are continuously educating our employees and updating our processes for an easy and streamlined experience. Our most recent process changes have been the addition of Dispatch Track, allowing customers to track their delivery through our website by entering a phone or invoice number. We’ve also added Broadly, an automated system asking customers to provide feedback on their experience after delivery and installation. If you would like to provide public feedback, you can always do so by reviewing one of our online platforms like Google Business, Yelp or Facebook!
When they pull out my old refrigerator, will I have a chance to clean behind it?
YES! If you prefer to clean it yourself, you’re welcome to communicate that with our delivery and installation technicians, otherwise, they will clean it for you and remove any objects/ built up debris before moving your new refrigerator into place.
Do you install laundry pedestals?
Yes! Laundry pedestals raise the washer and dryer to a comfortable working level and provides storage for laundry accessories, additives, or… whatever you can fit in 27"x 13” of space! We will place your washer/dryer on top of the pedestal during the installation.
Will they do a walk through prior to bringing everything inside?
Once again, yes. It’s helpful for our techs to do a walk through in order to ensure the appliances will fit through sometimes narrow door frames and stairways and to prepare our customers’ homes for the delivery— this means protecting floors, walls, counter tops— whatever is needed to leave your home exactly how it was (or better!).
Do you install Kegerators?
We sell them, so we install them! Outdoor kitchen, basement bar, master bedroom— wherever you want your perfectly chilled favorite beer, we’ll install it. (And some models don’t require plumbing!)
What does ‘OTR’ stand for?
‘OTR’ is the acronym for over the range and refers to a type of microwave. Over-the-range microwaves, as opposed to microwave drawers or counter top, are built into cabinetry and located exactly where the name suggests. :)
What is the standard height of a counter top?
The standard height is 36”: 34.5” of cabinetry and 1.5” of counter top.
