Moen introduced the U shower in November 2016, and started shipping in March 2017. Moen was and still is the first to market with a Wifi based showering system. Other manufacturers showed them at the 2018 Kitchen Bath Show, but are not out in the market place as of this blog.
With Moen’s customizable U Shower system, you can control temperature, how many shower heads you want on, and know when it is ready for you. Oops, the dog needs to go out, you can even pause your shower until you are ready. Are your teenagers taking too long of a shower, not anymore! You can limit the time the shower is in operation. It features 12 presets, 2 on the interface (control panel in shower) and 10 more from your phone. Another greatest feature is Moen’s ability to repair remotely through the Wifi cloud base system.
Pricing is determined by how many sources of water you want to operate, the selection of shower heads, body sprays, and or hand showers. Faucet finish also plays into how much money you will be spending. The U shower is available in either two or four outlet systems. The 4-port will deliver up to 16 GMP’s at 60 PSI. If you have anything less than a 75 gallon water heater and you are planning to run your car wash at full capacity with the washing machine running (not just one shower head), budget in a bigger H2O heater.
