Colors in appliances have come and gone over the years but there are some that have “stuck”. Stainless steel, black and white appliances are still the colors of choice but many customers who want to have a “statement” piece or a whole suite of statement pieces.
Black stainless appliances are gaining more traction over stainless steel in the market these days. It gives customers the shine like stainless steel and the ease of cleaning like black or white appliances. Whirlpool is offering a brand new color called Sunset Bronze that resembles a rose gold finish. It will create a warm color in the kitchen and it will be fingerprint resistant. Whirlpool wanted to create a finish that would have the same durability of stainless steel but wanted it to be more warm and inviting. Depending on your cabinet color and the lighting in your kitchen, the Sunset Bronze color will cast different tones. If you are able to bring in your cabinet to see how the color will look against Sunset Bronze color, I would highly suggest it.
As far as the statement piece, you can get a range in burnt orange, pink flamingo or electric lime. Don’t be afraid to go off the grid and add that range, hood or refrigerator in the color of your choice. Blue Star ranges offer you to pick any color of the RAL color chart. You can get the range one color and the knobs another color. Other companies to offer color options are Ilive, KitchenAid, and Dacor.
