To anyone who has been to the Shady Side location of Don's Appliances on Baum Blvd recently, you might have noticed a lot of changes. Back in May, we finally started our much-anticipated showroom remodel. With the ever-changing appliance industry, it is our duty to keep up with the latest trends in appliances.
WHAT'S NEW:
When you first walk in, you will see our "everyday appliance" section. This is best for the customer who is looking for a quick replacement such as, freestanding gas or electric ranges, front load or top load laundry sets, or refrigeration. Here you will find brands like Whirlpool, Maytag, GE, LG, Frigidaire and Speed Queen.
As you walk around the corner, you will be welcomed with the beautiful new JennAir display featuring their Rise and Noir collections. Whether you prefer more of a contemporary, or traditional professional look, we are certain the JennAir appearance will catch your eye. It is not only aesthetically pleasing, but they have upgraded their entire line with new features and benefits. Most of the appliances will be in showroom mode. This helps so customers will have the chance to interact with the appliance, get to know their individual features and what makes them stand out against the competition. One of our favorite benefits with their new collection is no matter if you choose the Noir or Rise collection, the features stay consist. Meaning you don’t have to sacrifice a style if you like a feature.
Be sure to check out the refrigerator/freezer columns with the obsidian black interior, and the Rise 48" range!
We also have incorporated the Bosch display that was in front of the showroom. The display sits in the corner and features some of their most loved appliances such as dishwashers, slide-in ranges and their side swing double wall oven.
When you head toward the back of the showroom, we utilized our space and created multi-row vignettes in the back room. Each row is designed to feature a number of appliances from different brands. They will showcase everything from refrigerators to dishwashers, wall ovens to cooktops. Currently, we are featuring LG Black Stainless Steel, GE Cafe in Matte Black, GE Profile, Thermador, Bertazzoni, Whirlpool, and KitchenAid in Stainless Steel and Black Stainless Steel. These vignettes can be changed out with newer models as time goes on, making it easier for us to keep up with the active models and trends.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
A little more dust, but we are expecting the dust to settle by mid-to-late October. But, thankfully we have officially entered into phase 4 of the remodel. Our middle room is being torn apart section by section. The end result will showcase a brand new SubZero and Wolf display complete with LIVE appliances. Yes, you read that right, LIVE APPLIANCES! Trust me, we are just as excited as you are. We want our customers to have the chance to not only look, but see the differences within their appliance line up. So whether you need a little more information on how a Steam Oven works or a demonstration on the induction cooktop, this display will be sure to please. This also means we will be hosting more hands-on cooking events. Be sure to check out our Facebook page over the next couple months for updates on when they will be. And, Erin will be making some seasonal favorite baked goods on Saturdays. Hopefully, we can get Chef to stop by lend her a helping hand.
Through all of this, we are beyond grateful for everyone's patience. This can be a lot to handle with the noise and chaos, but we know this remodel is only going to better our customer's experience.
