Quick & EASY Roasted Garlic:
Roasting garlic has never been easier with these few steps. We’ll be roasting these in convection at 300 degrees in the LG Signature 48” Pro Dual Fuel Range Stainless Steel oven.
Before putting your garlic into the oven, cut the top and bottom off of the head of garlic to make it even. All of our cloves will also be exposed to the heat this way. Taking the bottom off also allows for them to steam all the way through, and we will be able to pop the cloves out much easier once we take them out of the oven.
All you need do to the head of garlic is drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil on top. You could also add a tab of butter instead, but this is completely optional. Season this with ¼ teaspoon of salt and pepper. You want to then place this in a sheet of aluminum foil and wrap it up until sealed. This will keep all of the steam and heat inside of the foil. Bake these for about 15 – 20 minutes, but you can cook these for less or more time depending on how big your heads of garlic are or how brown you want them.
After you pull these out of the oven, you should be able to pop the cloves right out of the peel. Or you can squeeze the peel to push these out. There’s endless possibilities for how you can use this as well. You can jar these and save them for cooking later, you could cook these in butter with parsley and parmesan, or you could even make a garlic paste.
Ingredients:
- 1 head garlic
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
Method:
- Cut top and bottom off of garlic head
- Coat with olive oil or butter
- Wrap garlic in tin foil
- Bake for 15 – 20 minutes at 300 degrees
Optional:
- Add salt and pepper to taste
