How to Remove Gliding Racks from Your Oven
What is the easiest way to remove the glide racks from your oven? We are going to go over how to remove these with ease, and place them back in without being off balance.
Most models will be similar in how these are placed into your oven. Start by extending the glide rack out fully; pick it up with your hands and pull it towards you.
On the back of the rack there are a few raised bars which work into the grooves of the oven. Lift the rack up so it detaches from the grooves in the inside of the oven. You want to just pick this up so it isn’t stuck in these anymore. You should be able to then remove the rack.
If you have bigger dishes like your turkey for Thanksgiving, this will really help lend space for bigger dishes. Any rack in your oven is also adjustable. If you want to move them up higher or lower, you can do that.
The gliding rack works best on the bottom, and then you can work your other racks in the oven however you want them. Putting the rack back in is just as easy as removing it. Dip the back end down into the bottom of the oven, and make sure it lines up with the ovens groove. This should just slide right back in. To check if its secured, pull the rack out and place your hand on the middle of the rack and press down. If it’s locked this won’t move at all.
Do this if you need more space in your oven, or if you want to readjust the heights of your racks. This should make removing and placing them back in easier for you from now on.
