How to Make Fresh & Chunky Guacamole

How to Make Fresh & Chunky Guacamole:

Here’s how to make chunky and fresh guacamole from scratch. To start, chop up all of your ingredients starting with cilantro. If you don’t like cilantro, then substitute this with some parsley or any other leafy herb you like.

If you start with cilantro all the other vegetable as you cut will pick up the leftover pieces. This means it will really be incorporated throughout your guacamole. Roll up the cilantro and then dice it. This makes it easier to dice and helps with uniformity. You can use the rocking method with your knife to make dicing this up easier.

If you like onion in your guacamole, so dice a whole onion for this. You can dice these as fine as you want, but for this we make bigger chunks. Dice a whole jalapeño for this as well. But if you don’t like spicy things, you can skip this. Or if you like it super spicy you can add more than one. The white part and the seeds are going to add the heat to the pepper, so cut those out. Dip these in water to get all of the seeds off too.

Dice the tomatoes into even chunks. Again, all of these components can be as chunky or as fine as you want them. Then chop up three cloves of garlic for additional zing and earthiness. Moving onto the main star of this dish: the avocados.

Spoon these out of the peel and then start mixing all of the ingredients together in a large bowl. Once they’re mixed up, add your seasonings. Drizzle 4 ounces of oil in the bowl, ¼ teaspoon of black pepper, and 2 teaspoons of salt. Cut two limes and squeeze in the juice from these. After cutting the limes in half, you can make an ‘X’ on the inside to make juicing these easier.

Once everything is incorporated, you could blend this to get a smoother guacamole. But if you like it chunky, you can serve it just like this. Remember your finished product might taste different each time depending on the ripeness or freshness of your ingredients.

    Ingredients:

    • 3 tomatoes
    • 2 -3 normal sized avocados
    • 3 cloves garlic
    • 2 bunches cilantro
    • ½ - 1 whole red onion
    • 1 jalapeño 2 limes
    • ¼ teaspoon salt
    • 2 teaspoons pepper
    • 4 ounces olive oil

    Method:

    1. Chop up all of ingredients to desired size
    2. Mix all chopped vegetables into a bowl
    3. Season with salt, pepper, oil, and lime juice
    4. Mix until incorporated or blend until smooth
