How To Cut a Pepper
What is the best way to filet a pepper? We’re going to give you some quick tips on how to get even and perfect filets when cutting your peppers.
We’ll start by cutting the pepper upright. Make slices all around the side which will make it easier for us to core this pepper out. Cut them into 4 or 5 bigger slices. Make sure to cut off all the core and get all of the seeds out.
Then flip the pieces over, flesh side up, and flatten my knife to filet these guys down.
You’ll want to cut these down a few times to make them even. Flip them back over and do straight thin slices on each piece. You can take your time with this to get all of your slices even. They also don’t have to be as thin as we cut them, you can make thicker slices if you want.
This can top your fish, top your salad added with some salt and pepper. Just create a little height, create a little fun in your dish. But this is a great way to julienne some peppers, even crudites for fantasy dips.
