Gozney Dome: How to Use Gas or Wood in Your Oven
There are two main ways to heat your Gozney Dome 29" Bone Outdoor Oven. We’re going to walk you through how to easily light your pizza oven with gas and with wood logs.
If you’re using the gas, make sure the propane tank is open. Then press in your dial and you’ll hear it click and shortly after the flames should pop right up. You can also adjust the flames with this dial. If you want them to be high for blazing hot heat, or lower for a low heat. 
The Gozney Dome also has a digital display where it provides and accurate reading of your oven’s temperature. If you wanted to use wood inside of your oven, turn off the flames and then remove the rings on the inside. You’ll see there are circular cap on one side of the oven. You can lift this up with a knife to open it. Place it on the opposite side of where you plan to light your wood.
Start to build up your logs on the side opposite side where the cap is closed off. We used a wax starter in the middle of the stack of wood just to make it easier to light. Then light this with a lighter or matches. You’re essentially starting a small fire with this just to get it burning. It might be easier to start on one side, then move to building in the center. This will just make it easier to heat up the whole oven.
When you’re ready to cook and it’s starting to reach the correct temperature, you can push the wood back and cook in front of it. You could use this same technique for charcoal if you wanted to use that instead of wood. These are the two main ways to light your Gozney Dome, which will have you cooking in no time.
