Beer Cheese Brachos (Bratwurst Nachos) | Homegate Recipe On The Coyote Outdoor Living S-Series 36” Built In Grill Stainless Steel

Every game day homegate needs nachos, and we are giving you the perfect recipe to use. You can’t go wrong with loading your nachos with veggies, so start by cutting up onion, peppers, and banana peppers. These are all veggies with a bit of a kick, but you can go for something hotter like jalapenos if you want too.

Preheat a cast iron pan on your grill, or on any cooktop. Once you’ve chopped all your veggies up, add a bit of butter or oil to your pan, then add in your veggies. If you’re going for something simple, season these with salt and pepper. But you can turn up the heat by adding taco seasoning. And, to add a punch to this, drizzle white vinegar over top of your vegetables. Cook these on medium-high heat until they are soft, and the skin on the outside forms a golden-brown char.

What game day food doesn't go well with beer? That's why we made these with a beer cheese sauce. Have your second cast iron preheated so you can just go ahead and add the ingredients right into your pan. Add about 1 ½ sticks of butter and melt it down to start. Mix in more taco seasoning to tie your cheese sauce together with your veggies. Add in a can of a light beer since you can’t forget the beer in your beer cheese. Cream it out with ¼ cup of milk, and of course add your cheese.

You can do 1 cup of a Mexican cheese blend, or any shredded cheese of your choice. Mix everything together so it is evenly incorporated, and you’ll want to simmer this on medium-high heat for 3 to 5 minutes. Add sour cream to thicken this up and whisk it as it cooks to ensure you get a thick cheese sauce.

Don't forget the game day classic: hot dogs or bratwurst. But what about adding bratwurst to your nachos? These wouldn’t be “brachos” without this key ingredient. Place your spicy or smoky beef bratwurst on your grill on medium-high heat for 3 to 5 minutes or until tender. Once everything is thoroughly cooked and our sauce has thickened, this tower of nachos is ready to build. Placing our veggies, and bratwurst on, we also added salsa, black olives, cilantro, scallions, and of course cheese. Drizzle your savory beer cheese sauce on top to finish this out.

You can top these nachos off however you want. Incorporate salsa, guacamole, sour cream, or cilantro. Load these up because everyone at your game day party will be swarming to these.
