Beko 20 Cubic ft. Refrigerator vs 27 Cubic ft Refrigerator I Does Size Matter?
It's Chef Anthony here at Don’s Appliances. Today, we're on the 20 cubic ft. Beko refrigerator. This refrigerator has a ton of useful space. We're going to pair this up against a 27 cubic foot refrigerator and see who has the most useful space and where to put things. Let's check it out. I just unpacked all these groceries and what a huge haul. From left to right, we have asparagus, lots of baby carrots, tomatoes, fresh veggies, even the big tubs of lettuce that you use, the party trays, fresh fruits, all your staples, the big juices, the creamers, the mayo, all the sausage, even your meats, and fresh tortellini. These are the big items that we're going to talk about today in refrigeration. Let’s fill this fridge up.
All right, our refrigerator is loaded up. I'm going to go over all the compartments and show you all the amazing stuff that we loaded in here. First, let's talk about the door right here. We have two-gallon jugs that fit seamlessly.
Now, we have plenty of height, and space for big condiments and all of our little sauces and things. Opening up the dairy compartment, it flips right out and holds the eggs so they don't crack. You can keep roasted garlic up here and even medicine. Going to the left-hand side of the refrigerator, we have the big core containers and your big juice containers. The shelves are so deep which allows us to have more storage space. Towards the top of the door, we have our butter compartment.
Let's jump into the center of the refrigerator. We have a lot of room for all of our meats and cheeses. You can even turn this into a big pantry for a party, or hold a charcuterie board. This is an excellent use of space, and it's super deep. In the deli drawer, we have room to stack things up and really pack them tight. The Ever Fresh technology, is that blue light you see that helps omit the gases, keeping your fruits and vegetables fresh.
In the drawer on the left, we have asparagus, 5 pounds of tomatoes, and two pints of strawberries. It’s just immense the amount of produce that you can fit in. This drawer isn't even full. We have two big bags of carrots, some peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions. Overall, we have plenty of storage.
As we move to the compartment above the drawers, we have big party trays stacked that we can stack to conserve space as well as additional products like beans, and a big head of cauliflower. To the left side of the refrigerator, we have our water dispenser conveniently placed, removing it from the outside of the refrigerator to save space within the refrigerator. This is a huge benefit from Beko. Looking at the main center shelf in the refrigerator, we have a ton of space. This is where we can keep our lemons, bananas, or anything up high like big Gatorades. In the back of the refrigerator, we see the Neo Frost technology that allows us to load the refrigerator and not get frost in the back. What this means is that in three or four days, our products will not be frozen or half-frozen.
Now, looking at the 27 cubic ft refrigerator, we find that it is slightly bigger and bulkier. All of the food we had in the 20 cubic ft. refrigerator fits in here, but we have some restrictions with the ice maker. On the right door, we can fit condiments, milk jugs, and bigger items. Our space becomes restricted as we get to the bottom because of the ice maker.
Overall, we have great storage in both the 20 Cubic ft. Refrigerator and 27 Cubic ft. Refrigerator. Although the 27 Cubic ft. refrigerator is seven cubic feet larger than the 20 Cubic ft. refrigerator, we find that a bigger refrigerator may not necessarily be what's better for you.
