Quick & Easy Corn Ribs
We’ve got a fun way for you to prep your ribs that’s something different than the typical cob. Here’s our recipe for rib style corn on the cob. Done in convection in just 15 minutes. We're featuring the LG Signature 48" Pro Style Dual Fuel Range Stainless Steel oven.
Cut the ends off so they’re flat on both sides, that way your pieces have uniformity.
Chef’s Tip: The cobs will be hard to cut through. So, make sure you have a sharp knife, but also be safe while cutting these.
Start by cutting down the middle. It’s easier to pierce the top and make a line to start your cut. You will also want to quarter these. You’ll see they kind of get the shape of a rib. Evenly space these on a tray lined with a baking sheet, so they’re ready for the oven.
Spread 2 tablespoons barbeque sauce over these, and then top them with 1 teaspoon of barbeque rub seasoning. These will really taste like ribs with the sauce and seasoning combo. You can use any rub of your choice if you want them spicier or if you want them more mild and smoky. This is a great alternative, and a great side too for all your picnic needs.
We will convection roast these at 375 degrees. It's going to take about 20 - 25 minutes depending on how you want this texture. We want these to be just like ribs which are fork tender. After pulling them out of the oven, drizzle them with olive oil for a fresh and even look. Then add a bit more barbeque rub seasoning to your liking. This is optional, but you can also add some cheddar cheese on top.
Who doesn't love a good pile of ribs? Fall off the bone ribs. Crispy on the outside. Tender on the inside. The perfect alternative to ribs or side for your cookout.
Ingredients:
- 3 – 4 ears of corn
- 2 tablespoons barbeque sauce
- 1 teaspoon barbeque seasoning
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
Optional:
- ½ cup cheddar cheese
