How To Make Cauliflower Fried Rice

How To Make Cauliflower Fried Rice

We're making cauliflower fried rice today on the Wolf teppanyaki. This will be one of the best fried rice dishes you'll ever try. You want to start by adding 1 tablespoon of oil to the teppanyaki. Then add in ¼ cup of diced red onion and ¼ of diced green pepper. You can also add 1 tablespoon of garlic. Let these cook first until they get golden brown.

The teppanyaki really is a mini version of a hibachi style cooktop. You can have so much fun cooking in front of people with this, and it will give you a nice even cook across the entire surface.

We used pre-made cauliflower rice, but you can always make your own from scratch. Before cooking it, just make sure it is dried out and doesn’t have a lot of moisture. Spread this out evenly to cook on the teppanyaki.

Once the rice has cooked for about 3-5 minutes, make a well in the middle of the rice and add 2 eggs. You’ll scramble these eggs, and then mix them in with the rice.

Chef’s tip: Making a “well” or space in the middle of your rice will prevent the eggs from running once you add them on the surface.

After the rice starts to brown, add in about one cup of edamame (peeled). Let these cook until they get tender and soft. For the typical stir fry salty flavor, add ¼ cup of soy sauce. Then add 3 tablespoons of sambal chili sauce. To even out the saltiness of everything, add 1 tablespoon of black pepper.

You could serve the rice as is or add teriyaki chicken on top. But if you’re serving it as is, just add a drizzle of yum-yum sauce to the top to finish this off. This is a quick and easy fried cauliflower rice with the ease of even cooking on your teppanyaki. Enjoy.

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup diced red onion
  • ¼ cup diced green pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 1 cup peeled edamame
  • 2 cups cauliflower rice
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper

Optional:

  • 3 tablespoons sambal chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon yum-yum sauce

Instructions:

  1. Brown diced onion, diced pepper, and chopped garlic in pan for 3-4 minutes
  2. Evenly spread cauliflower rice onto cooktop and cook until golden brown
  3. Make a well/hole in the middle of rice
  4. Add eggs and scramble
  5. Add edamame and cook until soft
  6. Season with soy sauce, chili sauce, and black pepper
  7. Finish it off with yum-yum sauce or add teriyaki chicken
