Not sure what appliance distributors there are in Erie? Here are three hometown favorites

When people in the Erie area talk about appliances, there are three names that come to mind. They are Duggan's (now a Don's Appliances Company), Fullerton Appliance Center, and the Sears Hometown store. While all three offer the lowest prices in town, folks generally go with the store that not only has the lowest price but also the motto "we service what we sell". Trust is the key when choosing which company to purchase from.

    Duggan's: A Don's Appliances Company

Duggan's has been around for more than 65 years. Started in 1953, Duggan's has built a reputation that is second to none. They carry a wide variety of appliances with brands such as GE, Maytag, Jenn-Air, KitchenAide, and Whirlpool. The merger with Don's appliances has only reinforced Duggan's standing in the community. Staffed with knowledgeable salespeople, customers know that they getting the correct information as well as the guaranteed lowest price. They also get a name and a face which gives the security that comes with purchasing from a hometown business. Customers feel good dealing with community businesses and contributing to the local economy. Service after the sale continues to be a motto that Duggan's carries on today which keeps people coming through the doors.

    Fullerton Appliance Center

Fullerton's is a company that has been in the area for quite a while. In business since 1924, Fullerton's offers their customers delivery and set-up after the sale. Carrying brands such as Amana, Maytag, and Whirlpool, they have a reputation of taking care of their customers before, during, and after the sale. They have two locations: Erie, PA and the other in Meadville, PA. With their deep roots in the local community, they have become one of the most trusted business in both locations. Service, treating people with respect, and fair pricing have kept them in business to this day.

    Sears Hometown Store

The third appliance store that comes to mind is the Sears Hometown Store. Sears has been around for more than 100 years, carrying the Kenmore brand which at one point was their claim to fame in the early 1970s. Name recognition plays a big part in customer's decisions to shop with them. People still trust the Sears name and the quality that has been a Sears staple for years. Sears also offers service, fair pricing, and knowledgeable sales staff which is the basis for their loyal customer base. What ties all of these companies together is their dedication, determination of the sales staff, and the hardworking employees that have kept them in business up to now and hopefully will continue to for years to come.
