    BBQ Grilled Brussel Sprouts

    You’ll want to preheat your grill on high to get it up to temperature before cooking. It can be anywhere from 450 – 500 degrees. Nothing too hot where you burn these before properly cooking them. When prepping your brussels sprouts, if you notice that there’s any brown spots or wilting leaves, you’ll want to remove them.

    You’ll also want to take a knife and cut down the stem of the sprouts. You don’t want to cut too much of the stem off though, because then all of your leaves will fall off in the grilling process. You want enough of the stem intact so that these stay together.

    So, these don’t roll around, you’ll want to cut the sprouts in half. This will also make these easier to season. You can go any route you want when it comes to seasoning these; Use Italian seasoning, steak seasoning, or make these spicy.

    Brush one side of these with olive oil, but not both sides. We don’t want these too greasy, so you don’t have to season both sides. We chose to season these with 1 tablespoon of barbeque seasoning.

    This will only take about 2 – 3 minutes on each side for these. This can vary on the size of your brussel sprouts, or how well you want them cooked. If you want them more tender cook them less, or softer then leave these on longer.

    Once these are ready to be pulled off, they will carry over a cook a bit too. Keep this in mind for how done you want them. Top these off with more barbeque seasoning, or even balsamic glaze. These are the perfect side for any barbeque.

    Ingredients:

    • 1 lb brussels sprouts (6 – 9 sprouts)
    • 2 tablespoon barbeque seasoning
    • 1 teaspoon balsamic glaze
    • 1 teaspoon olive oil

    Method:

    1. Preheat grill to 500 degrees
    2. Remove any wilted leaves or brown spots from brussel sprouts
    3. Cut off stem: leave enough intact to keep leaves together
    4. Coat with olive oil and then season with barbeque seasoning
    5. Place on grill and cook on each side for roughly 2 – 3 minutes or until reaching desired tenderness
